Product Introduction

BL8®PPA 2626 powder fluoroelastomer is a free-flowing polymer processing aid, which is an additive based on functional fluoropolymer structure. This product is used to improve the processing performance of thermoplastics at extremely low addition levels (500-1500ppm). It can be added to various plastic pellets, tubes or rubbers to achieve chemical resistance, high temperature resistance and flame retardancy, without affecting the physical properties of the resin itself, nor the adhesion, printing and heat-sealing properties of the products. Using this product can greatly improve product quality and output. (Equivalent to 3M's 5921 or 5922)

Performance

Powder fluoroelastomer is a powdered fluoroelastomer that can be used as a polymer processing aid. It can be added to polyolefins such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE, LDPE) and polypropylene to improve their processing performance.

Applications

Suitable for processing LDPE, LLDPE, MLLDPE and PP films: it can reduce melt fracture, decrease gels, and improve product transparency. It eliminates die buildup and increases production efficiency (with constant mold pressure and temperature). It can also be used for HDPE extruded pipes, and on extruded products of LLDPE, HDPE, MLLDPE and polyolefin resins: it can extend die coking time and shorten the time of poor plasticization during startup.

Processing Guidelines

The dispersion of PPA in the resin largely determines the application effect. It is recommended to first use a twin-screw extruder to make a masterbatch with a content of 2~5%, then add it to the extruder according to the final target addition level (generally, the masterbatch addition level is 0.5~2% of the layer). When used for the first time, there will be an activation time of 10-60 minutes depending on equipment, substrate and shear rate. Equipment that uses PPA 6510 continuously for a long time has no activation time.
